Designation: Product Owner for Product Development and Innovation

Position Reports to: Product Head & Engineering Head

Place of Posting: DLF Cyber City, Gurgaon

Working Hours: Monday to Friday with Flexi Time and WFH Hybrid

Overview

We are looking for highly motivated and exceptionally talented techno-functional product owner who will be responsible for the product success through continuous and end to end ownership of product lifecycle management. This role is responsible for bringing Skilrock’s client success through meticulous product management in its entirety.

Key Role & Responsibilities

Product Life Cycle Management

1. Product Ideation - developing and establishing measurable and trackable process for generation, filtering and finalizing product Ideas that drives - Product Success, Customer satisfaction and Market leadership.
2. Prototyping and integrated development: Successful transformation of the selected ideas into demonstrable feature prototypes and full-fledged shippable features integrated within the product meeting schedule, budget and Quality. Actively participating in every phase of development and maintaining functional integrity and timely delivery of the gaming products.
3. Deployment: Plan and administer the production deployment of new and updated products and services for the Gaming Industry.
4. After-Care Support: Maintaining proactive channels of communications and support
5. End of Life Support: Initiate, manage and execute EOL support activities in liaison with product, engineering, marketing and sales, Customer and User in mind.
6. Managing product teams and maintaining proactive communication with all the stakeholders while performing the above activities.

Product Strategy Support

1. Studying the competition and market of the gaming products of similar nature.
2. Doing Comparative Analysis.
3. Product -Technology - Feature mapping analysis.
4. Collect, analyze and present data in a coherent manner to support the product strategy.

Expected Deliverables

1. Cost Benefit Analysis.
2. Structured product refinement Calendar and report on status of actionable.
3. Prototype designs.
4. Product release calendar.
5. Product Roadmap document.
6. Product Development Status report.
7. SLA Reports, Product /Functionality Feedback Registers.
8. Customer / User Engagement/ Product Analytics data, reports, MoMs.
9. Deployment Plan: schedule, dependencies, process and sequences, assurance.
10. Training Docs/User Manuals.
11. Product End of Life document (PEOL)
12. Product Version Management tracker.

Desired Candidate Profile

Desired Education, Experience and Competencies:

1. A computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent plus hands-on software engineering experience. Experience in web applications and/or gaming products will be preferred.
2. 5+ years of product management and product design experience.
3. 2+ years of experience creating examples through wireframes and mockups.
4. 2+ years of experience in managing 2-7 (mid-size) product team of junior product owners, functional analysts and Quality analysts.
5. Demonstrated ability to gather user requirements across diverse functional areas and convert them into a compelling product vision.
6. Knack for getting things done with high standards of product quality.
7. Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment that can inspire the whole team.
8. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, communicate effectively with wide range of stakeholders across Engineering teams, Product teams, Clients, End users and CxOs.
9. Willing to learn, assess and formulate new information from varied sources and enjoys working on new technologies, challenges and opportunities.

Tools process and frameworks

1. Working experience in scrum or agile /waterfall software development methodologies.
2. Working knowledge of Jira /Azure DevOps or similar tools.
3. Comfortable in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace etc.
4. Hands-on Visio / Balsamiq Wireframes or similar tools.
5. Exposure to analytics tools will be an added advantage.
